Spider Blouse Reworked

This was my first 'lolita' blouse. It was perfect at the time, but then I realised it was ita lolita.

I think everyone goes through an ita phase when first starting Lolita though :) It's a learning curve! I didn't want my first blouse to go to waste so I decided just change it! I wanted to get rid of the raschel lace and the silly long sleeves.

It was nerve wrecking to cut it up since it was £30 at the time.

Before and After.
It felt good though and it was a nice feeling to know I saved my ita blouse XD
Make do and mend :p

I wore the blouse out at the last Lolita meet with pride! XD

Lolitas of Leeds

There were two lolita meets going on last weekend, but I only went to one, since I had too much work :(

(pretty bubbles)
I went to my first lolita at Leeds so it was really nice to go back after nearly two years.

It was a nice picnic meet and tour around Harewood House. The meet was bit expensive for me because of the travelling, but I really want to go back. The house was beautiful and the weather was great!
Travelling took around 2 hours each way.(taken from Facebook - not my photo)

I had never met anyone before so it was a bit nerve wrecking XD so I didn't take many photos :(

Bagwhore
I took some banana bread and cheese scones and some homework to do on the train XD

(taken from Facebook - not my photo)
My Outfit: red bag:Angelic Pretty, blouse: Spider + DIY, Shoes:Montreal, Skirt/Sailorscarf/Sailorhat: Handmade, Anchor earrings/Socks: ??? Of course no sailor is complete with anchors! I bought the the anchor earrings at my first Lolita meet too XD I thought the sailor hat was too OTT so it stayed in my bag for all of the meet. I was very happy to use my Shirley Temple picnic bag too.

Everyone was so friendly and welcoming! ^^
One of them showed me back to the train station it was so kind of her :3

Dotty Anchors

I've been thrifing :)I found the perfect print for me! Polka dots and anchors :3 The dress says it's for 36inch bust but fits me snuggly so its 3-4 inches off :/ it was only ₤2! I mistook it for a long bodice though and had a surprise when I tried it on!I have some plans for these dress.... :)

I've been playing with my miltary shirt and skirts again. I love the sheer skirt, it's so old but I love it :3 The boots are old and tatty too but I love :3

What would be your perfect print?
I am loving Angelic Pretty's French Cafe atm....

Catch up.

So what have I been up?

I've been annoying Ryan :D I went to his university and sat quietly and did my maths work while he did his artwork. He's studying to be a games designer and I think I'm studying for engineering or languages XD

I have been trying to sew and craft more in time for the fashion show and the opening of the college shop! I have so many ideas but not eneough money! :(

I have around a week until the fashion show. I'm so stressed. I have 6 hours of exams on one day and I have to be isolated from everyone for a day becuase some of my exams are on at exactly the same day!

I've also been trying to leanr how to swim with my good friend Charlotte as my teacher. She's really great and patient, especially when I'm like a dying fish freaking out in water XD

Can you swim?

Holiday Skin - Review

Apparently fake tan can help make your legs look slimmer and can fix the look of uneven coloured skin, which is pretty much the story of my whole body because of my excema. I saw both of these benefits :3

Before & After

The photos were taken around a month apart(I've upped my fitness in the past month). I saw a difference after the first application in my skin it wasn't a big difference and the colour of of my skin didnt change until a couple of hours after application. After 3-5 applications I liked the colour and after that it became a bit orangey and fake looking.

It was very easy to apply, you may need to rub it in more to make it absorb faster. I was very pleased and would recommend this and also buy it again!

The colour didn't rub off or stain my clothes.

When I put a plaster on my leg the colour of the tan came off, so I wouldn't recommend waxing your legs if you still want the colour to stay.

The tan fades quite quickly like after two baths. So I normally take a day break and then build it back up. The coloured didn't fade much when i was in the swimming baths.

Johnson's Holiday Skin Review
Texture : Quite thick
Smell: I disliked it but it soon goes away.
Colour/tan: I like how natural it looks and non streaky!
Application : Just like moisturiser, very easy.
Effect: it made my skin very soft, but took a while to dry.

Excema : it didn't argravte my excema, but it didn't help it either.

Price: It's a moisturiser and a fake tan so i think the price is pretty good!
rrp £5-6 I bought it for £1.99
Rating: 9/10

Intensive 7 Days Garnier Review
Texture : Quite thick
Smell: I disliked it at first but now I like it :) It reminds me of chocolate.

Effect:Even if I miss a day my skin still feels soft!

Excema : it helped my skin overall and the fact I don't have to put it on all the time makes it even better!

Price: rrp £2-3 (250ml) I bought it for £1.50
Rating: 9/10
I got the cocoa butter one, and the mango one aswell( I think they have 3 or 4 different versions). The mango one smells so much better, but it's very runny and is nowhere near as hydrating as the cocoa butter version. I would experiment with which one works better for you though. They come in small bottles and larger bottles :3

*I only used the fake tan on my legs aswell. I have no idea how the product would look where the skin naturally creases... It's a subtle difference but I like it :)

I bought new shoes. I finally got some converse! I got them from GetTheLabel. It took three working days and was quite easy to order. the only probelm is they are both size 6 but the black ones are a bit tighter than the converse, but I guess that is down to the factory and not the website.

I wasn't paid for this review and I bought all the products myself.
What's your opinion of tanning?

Sailor Go Go!

Rememer my Sailor Scarf? Well to finished my Sailor outfit I had to sew a skirt. I thought I would show you my progress photos.

My beloved sewing machine has an over light for its light now XD

Ahh ruffles; you'll be the death of me.I want to make the skirt in some many different colours, but it took me 4 days to make this.

The finshed product! It's shiny becuase it's polycotton :( The shops had no red cotton :(I crocheted some cherries to sell too :)
Sorry I haven't been online for nearly a week D:

Do you like the progress photos? What would you like to see made?
I think I like watching things be taken apart than made though... XD

#52

I went to see the Blackout Apirl 7th at Newcastle. I took photos of the outfit a few days later.

I didn't have a thin jacket so I improvised a rock chic warm outfit XD It was strange. I felt quite confident and sexy rocking this outfit ;3 I even got wolf whistle, it was really embarrassing... I always thought it was a bad thing to enjoy getting compliments and looks, but aslong as I keep dressing for myself and no one else I can appreciate them right? The outfit survived the concert and college and a run all in one day

My outfit: Skirt : handmade, Shirt : in Germany, Tights: Primark, Shoes/Halterneck top: ?

I had to leave for college at 7.30am and then went straight to the gig afterwards and came back home at midnight.

First up was Hyro Da Hero, who was surprisingly amazing. I don't really like rap, but his work was amazing :)

Next were The Swellers. They played too many songs, so I didn't really like them. They didn't really seem to connect to the crowd so it was a bit bland.

So after queuing for 2 hours we saw less than one song from the Blackout! MAJOR disappointment, however the moshpit we started made up for it. We had to run a mile in less than 10 mins to catch the last train home :( and then it was delayed...

I went with Steph and John. John got a drumstick :( I was so happy my tights didn't get ripped at the concert aswell...

Which band would you love to see live?

P.S I failed the hair challenge. Please no hate T_T

Knitted Sailor Scarf!

It took me around 3 days to finished Penelope Teapot's tutorial!

I love how I take photos in crap lighting and fix them up on photoshop :3 I took this piece everywhere to knit, my house, Ryan's house, the bus, the train, to the park! It was really fun to knit. I think I need to practise on my tension and colour changing though! I added on cute bows aswell :)

Do you have any cool tutorials you can share?

Women's Society Craft Meet

I often go to The Olde Young Tea House, for a random tea and some cake!

China Rose Petals and Dime Bar Cake

I have tried their oreo cake, dime bar cake and chocolate caramel cake. They are all amazing! I was kindly invited to their young women's society craft meet, even though I'm not officially part of them! So I packed up my knitting and a few sewing essentials and went, not really knowing what to expect.

I was really flattered and had a great time! It was fun meeting new people and crafting! They were so creative and there were loads of different personalities. I need more practise socialising so it was time well spent :3

I tried making bunting, it was my first time! Other people decorated jam jars and painted on tea towels. they looked amazing. I think I will buy one, but I'm quite strapped of cash :( My random tea was Japanese Cherry Leaves. I hope to join their society soon :) How do you meet new people? I think through friends and Lolita meets for me...
