All ABout Me Me Me!

I've become a little bit addicted to mascaras and bought a new one to play with. I've heard waterproof mascaras aren't that great for your eyelashes, but it was super cheap so I bought it anyway. I think waterproof will be my go to type when I go to gigs.

Pros: doesn't smudge
doesn't flake off
lasts long (photos taken after wearing for 8 hours)
'dramatic' eyelashes
gets into the corners easily because of the flexible brush
one coat is enough

Cons: clumpy
boring packaging.....
hard to find

I've been knitting aswell to use up my yarn. I'm trying to declutter the house by using you my material and such lol, since I have boxes of the stuff XD

I planned to use Esty, but I don't have a credit card, so I'm setting up a Folksy instead :)

I was thinking £2.50 for a pair of hair ties and 80p for a bow brooch? Please help me price them please ^^

What else would you like to see me sell?

DIY - Kodona Shorts

I thought I would scan the pattern for the shorts I recently made.
They seemed quite long and highwaisted too.

I found the flys the hardest part to sew, but everything else is pretty straight forward. I would recommend sewing bloomers before sewing shorts.

Japanese sizing is known to be very small, so I scanned the sizing charts aswell to help guide you :)

I didn't make the pleated panel, but I think I might now.

I hope you found the scans useful!
Please ask me about anything, if the tutorial is a bit confusing.

What's the hardest thing you've made?

Out of Sight, Out of Mind

Hello there :)
I spent the last week away at an university course, and forgot to publish my scheduled posts :(

I finished my shorts today, they are high waisted and a bit snuggly on me. I'm an extra large in Japanese sizing!

I love the pocket detail aswell :)

The shorts were fun to sew, since I haven't made belt hooks and flys parts before. The zipper was so complicated for me! It literally took me around 3 hours to figure out how to sew the flys of the shorts XD and I still needed help from my mum who used to sew flys as her job many years ago. I had to hand sew 30% of the shorts too :(

I used some cute buttons, which was sent to me ages ago, sadly the girl closed her blog:C

Another garment to add to my polka dot collection ^_^ I think I have enough to make a romper/playsuit aswell :) I'M ADDICTED TO POLKA DOTS!

How did you decide for universities/colleges?

I'm trying to avoid the topic with my parents, I'm torn between engineering and German.

Come On Barbie, Lets Go Party

Derp, went to a party wrongly dressed...
It was a Lolita tea party, but I thought it was only meant to be the birthday girl in Lolita XD

It was a surprise party, which didn't go exactly to plan so it was alot of madness and fun!

Happy Birthday Gina! You have a great boyfriend. (He planned the party)
You looked great too :3

I'm also trying to expand my wardrobe/style :p

I bought two Algonquins items whilst at Paris from Boddywood
The dress is quite dreamy and floaty and I love the shirt so much! It makes me want to go crazy with glitter and sewing!

I recently got two cute necklaces aswell from Mr Nice Guy. He can't understand how happy I am to have a heartagram necklace XD

Have you misread the dress code before?
Please share your the details, I've done it a couple of times XD

Small Casual Meet

I love having excuses to dress up so I arranged a small meet up.

I wore my Military Skirt :)

Mr Nice Guy was sweet and came with me so I could introduce him to my friends :)

Alice and Fran not looking amused.

Debbie, Katie and Nicky

Tea and macarons a perfect combination :)

Katie tried on a disguise since she got mobbed at the train station XD

What excuse do you use to play dress up?

Lolita Convention

We only went for a few hours, it was quite hot that day, but the stores were nice and I snapped up a few deals at the 2nd Hand stall :)

Group Photos
I thought I would share outfit shots of the other Lolitas :)

Of course there was a language barrier which made things alot more awkward, but they all look so great I had to take photos!

I didn't take many sorry, my shyness got to me :( I loved the polka dot dress!

This was my outfit, I wore a tshirt because of the heat, I think I'll make a detachable peter pan collar to lolify my shirts though. Marlena from Self Constructed Freak has inspired me to make them :p

How do you approach people for photos?

Polka Dot Mini

I have alot of time to sew now, and I really want to use up my fabric pile so I have an excuse to buy more fabric!

Tshirt; gifted and revamped, Bow Necklace; gifted, Skirt; Handmade

Before and After
I cut the neck and sleeves and then simple used bias binding to finish instead of hemming. I hope he doesn't mind I cut up his gift....

Detail shots
I made a skirt aswell, with new block pattern I drafted. I haven't drafted a skirt pattern in a while so it was a shock to find out there is a around 11-12 inch difference between my waist and my hips, which I thought was quite a big difference but apparently I'm healthy and fertile according to my waist to hip ratio, which you can find out here.

blurry arms!
I used an open end zip and cut the fabric on the bias so it was stretchy, although I forget I suck with stretchy fabric so my zip doesn't sit right and I have to lift up my skirt when I sit down so it doesn't look like I have a penis....

The scooped back shows my excema, which has worsened, but oh well if people don't like it they don't have to look. I shouldn't feel ashamed because of my scars and skin condition.

What's your waist to hip ratio?

mine is 0.71
