Keep Fit!

One of my things to do for the 2011 was to hula hoop everyday.

I try to do it an hour a day, but sometimes I just have enough time! I love playing the Sims 3 while hula hooping! My hula hoop is made of bamboo and leaves my stomach with a red ring XD

Anyway the weather is becoming more dress friendly so I thought I would repost magazine scans of simple excercises that can help you feel more confident aboutyourself :)

TBH I have no idea how the arm pinching will help... but the other excercises are used in aerobic classes I go to.

When squatting, your bum shouldn't go below your knees and you should put all your weight in you heels and not your knees.

I love sit ups, who could think of a excercise you could do lying down? Ingenious :)

Gym memberships can be expensive and sometimes you just don't have the time to go, so I hope you find these scans helpful! You can do squats anywhere.... you may get odd looks though.

NOTE: I'm NOT promoting fad dieting, being unhealthily thin or actually being thin. I would love rather be a size 12 with a curvaceous body, than a childish one like my own XD

What's your favourite excercise/sport?

Yoga and squats for me. You can't get enough of butt crunching excercises!

  1. Haha, I love the pic of you with the hula hoop! I hate exercising, but I've been quite good at walking/running on the treadmill for an hour at least 3 times a week. I can already tell the difference. I'd always thought I was going to get bored super fast with it, but I've been fine. I'm glad David has a tradmill in the garage, hehe.

Oh, and by the way, when I said I'm planning to see The Big BangTheory live, I meant to see when they record the show ;).

    Have a great week! :D

  3. I really love hula hoop :D But after I had an incident to my knee every time I do it my knee aches -_-'
I started to exercize a bit at home every morning because I'm going less and less to karatè, I'm always busy and tired ^^'
No surprise I'm putting on weight Q_Q I HATE the bikini season!!! So much pressure!

  4. I love that that video thing of you so cool. I take Corben out in the buggy for long walk and when I have time do an hour of Wii fit. I also have those horrid looking shape up trainers that helped me tone up after Corben was born. I love cake too much so really I'm just burning off the cake hahaha

  5. I have a hola hoop but its not enough exercise for me to maintain my weight.

The dieting sections of Japanese magazines always make me laugh because its all stretching/massaging/bathing. How can you lose weight that way? haha!

I think that half-crunch is the most strenuous exercise I've seen in a J-mag XD

  6. I love hula hooping! At my 6th grade graduation a long time ago, I won first place for hula hooping the longest! XD The most I can do at a time is 3 and the longest I've done it is 2 because I get hungry real fast....My least favorite exercise is running and my favorite is playing basketball or tennis!

  14. Haha, but those are thick like winter scarfs? If you have a tiny scarf more for decoration you could use those styles! :3 My winterscarf just hangs around my neck I tell you XD

    I like (ice)skating and swimming!
If you want to train your abbs without doing situps, you should lay on you back, and your hands are around somebody's ankle's. You raise your legs up and they push it away, to the right, left or just back town. And you must keep them of the floor. This is quite a good exercise for the abbs! ;D I used to do it at Ninjutsu!
Hopefully you understand my bad explanation :X

  21. /reply/ maybe you're right...but I did yoga some years ago and I was really bored :P I think doing karate and exercize already helps a lot, but I don't think my knee will ever be the same as now they transplanted one of my muscles to be the new ligament (creepy, isn't it?).

  22. I think squats are great, and star jumps really get my heart pumping. I'll try any exercise! And I would love to meet you too, and I want to visit the tea house. I've only tried normal tea and chai tea, so I need to be converted! xxx

  23. I love hula hooping too! LOL But it's really hard. I've tried it w/sand or beans inside the hoop before and it's a crazy workout!! I like jump ropes and running in general :) I run 2-3 miles every other day.

  27. The hula GIF is really cute! I'm rubbish at doing things like that- definitely can't hula hoop. At least, I've not tried since I was really young! I am always intrigued by those scans from Japanese magazines! I love that they tell you to use normal things- like exercising using a chair etc!
