Lolita Convention

We only went for a few hours, it was quite hot that day, but the stores were nice and I snapped up a few deals at the 2nd Hand stall :)

I thought I would share outfit shots of the other Lolitas :)

Of course there was a language barrier which made things alot more awkward, but they all look so great I had to take photos!

I didn't take many sorry, my shyness got to me :( I loved the polka dot dress!

This was my outfit, I wore a tshirt because of the heat, I think I'll make a detachable peter pan collar to lolify my shirts though. Marlena from Self Constructed Freak has inspired me to make them :p

How do you approach people for photos?

    hm I think it's best to politely ask the pictures, I do not think a convention if you ask anyone bother to take pictures ^ ^

    were very pretty with that dress, I really like ^ _ ^!

    It's nice to see a group of people who speak different languages get together to share the same interests!

    I would probs gesture to my camera with a smile, hopefully that wouldn't put them off haha :)

    you look so adorable! you wore a tshirt because of the heat? isn't that opposite? haha was it to protect yourself from the sun? hehe I guess my idea is to wear less during the hot season @_@ must be a Hawaiian thing

    When i'm back to Hong Kong at Anime con. I swear I'll be overdress and everything as a lolita :D
    How I approach people.. uhm I'm pretty a shy person myself haha so if it's reallyyy neccesary I'll just tap them on the shoulder and introduce myself :)

    no language barrier in pictures! :) the polka dot lolita dress is really cute, and i think a peter pan collar would be a great addition.

    when it comes to photos i just go straight to the person and just ask. the worst they can say is no.

    So many nice ladies! I never asked people for photos, I'm way too shy, but I should learn as some people is just too awesome!

    I like your coord even if maybe white boots and white socks blend a bit too much.
    Dressing up when it's hot is way too difficult, in particular in a layered style like lolita! Your idea of a detatchable collar is pure genius.
    Did you see that some brands made short shirts and even false boleros? Something between useful and funny!

    i love my glasses too, it's shape is different from those ordinary specs and costs alot.

    You look super cute. If you want to do lolita in hot weather, I've seen girls just wear the dress with no blouse underneath. It looks pretty cute on them. :)
