Last December

Hong Kong December 2010
I'm preparing for my German speaking test, which is less than 8weeks away. I'm really worried and stressed, so I thought I would look at old photos and reminisce...to calm me and to avoid work XD

Cookie and Mint Ice cream and 22nd December.
22nd December was a very important day, since people had to go back home to have dinner with their family. I think it's a really sweet tradition, and it was the first time I had celebrated it, since most of my family live in Hong Kong.

Totoro
I forgot to show you some of the pictures of a studio Ghibli exhibition on at a shopping mall, which was really cute. But, like Hello Kitty land it was nearly impossible to get a photo of yourself with the cute figures!
It was nice finding new things and exploring :)
Lucky Cats
With exploring comes buying if your in Mong Kok....
I miss buying cheap things and haggling,... I still haven't properly unpacked aswell D:

Whilst I was there,Hong Kong was really hot, but everyone still had puffer jackets and fleeces on. I felt very awkward and exposed XD

Do you have family traditions?Sunday dinners or Friday night dinner?
I wish I didn't live so far away from my relatives.

I was in HK during that time too! I was amazed by all the puffers, I guess cold is just relative. I live farther from my family too, I understand missing them. Thanks for posting :)

Good luck on your German exam! I hope you ace it! :D

Aww, the Studio Ghibli exhibit is adorable! My family and I have random traditions...For Thanksgiving, we always have to cook two Chinese dinners for some reason. I think it's because my grandfather likes it, but he usually just munches on the turkey! XD

I didn't know about the 22nd Dec tradition?! Though I guess being in the UK is a bit different isn't it? Chinese traditions just aren't celebrated in the same way- even with CNY! I can't wait to go back to HK in July. It's going to be SUPER HOT!! Better get used to wearing layers even in the heat so I don't stand out too much haha!

Oh I don't believe I know the event of 22nd December?!

hehe I was the same when I went to Hong Kong. Everyone else was in their wooley jumpers/cardigans and I was in a vest, not even a t-shirt, a vest because it was so damn hot!
