Out of Sight, Out of Mind

Hello there :)
I spent the last week away at an university course, and forgot to publish my scheduled posts :(

I finished my shorts today, they are high waisted and a bit snuggly on me. I'm an extra large in Japanese sizing!

I love the pocket detail aswell :)

The shorts were fun to sew, since I haven't made belt hooks and flys parts before. The zipper was so complicated for me! It literally took me around 3 hours to figure out how to sew the flys of the shorts XD and I still needed help from my mum who used to sew flys as her job many years ago. I had to hand sew 30% of the shorts too :(

I used some cute buttons, which was sent to me ages ago, sadly the girl closed her blog:C

Another garment to add to my polka dot collection ^_^ I think I have enough to make a romper/playsuit aswell :) I'M ADDICTED TO POLKA DOTS!

How did you decide for universities/colleges?

I'm trying to avoid the topic with my parents, I'm torn between engineering and German.

Ohhh they are super cute!
For uni I just looked at loads of different unis and went on open days and went to DMU because I could see myself there and I liked the city. I wish I had put more thought into the course I did though

I decided to go to Jagiellonian University, I made this choice cuz it's the best university in Poland, I wanna go to really good school, so I chose that one. I was thinking about study in England but is to far and the level of learning is lower.

Hiiiii !
I love how you are so creative as to make your own clothes. The shorts are very cute! I like the buttons hehe.

I decided on my university course thanks to youtube. I saw a Canadian couple teaching English in Korea, and that made me want to do that too. And before you know it, I am doing High school teaching at Uni ~

Grace these are amazing, the button details are so cute and the polka dot print is lovely. They look so good on you too! Great photos. And for me, I decided based on what I loved doing, what interested me and what would be the most likely one to get me a job in the future. Instead of taking English at Uni level, I chose geography as I love it and due to the subject being so broad I know there'll be plenty of job opportunities in the future. xxx

Oh, I love it.. And now I am so envy because I don't know how to sew!

Aaah cute shorts<3 I love!

Hmm I first did one year Communication and media... but I didn't like it :( my mother says that I should study something where I will get a good job.. I understand her, but I dont't want to become a doctor etc (my sister studied for medicine...).

I wanted to study Art.. I know that means not a really bright future. So I am doing that next to my real study ;) I choose for English language & culture (2nd year) and I also want to follow some Japanese lessons (no I don't want to become a teacher lol).

I know it's not a famous study, but I want to follow my passion (languages + art) xx

Great work! I love the particular of the buttons!

Once my parents said I couldn't do an art university I decided thinking of my interst and the work I wanted to do. As I'd like to work in the comic industry I choose to study communication over natural science that interested me more.

Those look cute and the polka dots are so adorable! Don't feel bad that you're an XL in Japanese sizes. I'm a M in Japanese clothing and sometimes a L, but I wear S/XS in the USA! :D
